Study Medicine Abroad and Dentistry in Europe

In other European countries, the structure of the degree course is similar to the Italian one, the number of credits required is the same, and the subjects to be studied are equivalent (Community Directive 2005/36/EC)
The single-cycle master's degree course in Dentistry is structured over 6 years and requires the acquisition of 360 university credits (CFU) divided into learning units of 25 hours each.
The Centro Studi Europeo has chosen as partner universities for the degree course in Medicine only institutions that comply with European standards.
The Italian dentist graduated in the EU, before being able to register with the Order and practice the profession in Italy, must obtain recognition of the EU degree. In Italy, the competent authority to grant recognition of degrees in medicine and dentistry is the Ministry of Health, to which a specific application must be submitted using the forms available on the Ministry's website: www.salute.gov.it/ProfessioniSanitariePubblico/.
The Ministry of Health examines the application and, since it is a degree obtained in the EU, concludes this examination rather quickly with the issuance of a formal recognition decree with enabling value of the qualification which, at this point, is homologated and therefore useful for registering with the Order (it is not necessary to take the qualifying exam). The dentist has two years to submit an application for registration with the Order of Physicians and Dentists competent for the territory (that is, the province where the dentist resides) and, once registered, is authorized to practice the profession in Italy.
