DEGREE IN DENTAL HYGIENE

The Centro Sudi Europeo in partnership with Dimitrie Cantemir offers a degree course in dental hygiene qualifying for the profession in all countries of the European Union.

The Degree Course in Dental Hygiene prepares specialized healthcare professionals who assist dentists and dental doctors in the prevention and treatment of oral and dental diseases.

The 180 credits acquired over the 3-year course provide a training background that allows for direct entry both into private practice and within public and private institutions.

Graduates in Dental Hygiene will be able to understand and treat pathological processes of the oral cavity that develop in childhood, adulthood, and old age, as well as collaborate in management and administrative activities.

The course aims to train professionals who can communicate empathetically and effectively with patients and who can participate in primary prevention projects within the healthcare system.

RECOGNITION OF THE DEGREE IN ITALY

The European directives 2005/36 and 2006/100 (implemented in Italy through Legislative Decree no. 206 of November 6, 2007) guarantee throughout Europe the validity of degrees obtained in a European Union country. Obtaining a degree in dental hygiene is recognized as qualifying for the profession in Romania as well as in Italy. In order to start practicing in Italy, it will only be necessary to request from the Ministry of Health the Certificate of Equivalence for the degree obtained in Romania.
